BEST FOOD MARKET TO BE ANNOUNCED TONIGHT (THURSDAY)
It’s almost time for the BBC Food & Farming awards which are announced tonight at a big swanky BBC do in Bristol!
Crystal Palace Food Market, facing strong opposition from Levenshulme (Manchester) and Doncaster – say: We are delighted to have been nominated as one of the top three markets in Britain and we’re happy with that – winning would be the icing on the cake but not the be all and end all.

NEW LIBRARY OPENING HOURS
OPENING HOURS at Upper Norwood joint library have been changed with the library now opening on Monday afternoons and opening slightly later on Thursday mornings at 9.30am.
New opening times are as follows:
Monday: 1pm to 5pm
Tuesday: 10 am to 7pm (cl;osed for lunch 1pm to 2pm)
Thursday: 9.30 am to 7pm (closed for lunch 1pm to 2pm)
Saturday: 9am to 5pm.
FESTIVAL FUNDRAISER
Mo-City returns as a Crystal Palace Overground festival fundraiser on Saturday 16 May.
You can get down to DJ Phil de Mont, Daphnea and Lee Van Cleef at the Crow’s Nest just off Westow Hill (57b behind McDonald’s discount store corner of Woodland Road) with the best of soul, hip hop and their trade mark deep house sounds from Detroit, Chicago and beyond. Donations for the festival welcome.
