CAMPAIGNERS wanting to bring a cinema back to Crystal Palace have postponed plans to be outside Sainsbury’s tomorrow ( Saturday)..
News From Crystal Palace understands that KICC – the church which bought 25 Church Road back in 2009 -HAVE put in a new planning application for the building but that it has yet to be validated by Bromley council.

Hot lunch from Cheese Raclette: Traditional food of the Alps, particularly appreciated in cold weather! Big half rounds of cheese are melted under a raclette grill, with the top layer the scraped and spread over a choice of news potatoes, bread or sweet potatoes. Served with pickles.

Fish – boat news: Dan says “Great weather this week perfect for bass fishing, once again all our bass are a very very good size with most above 2kg each so large fish are available to order. We have a small amount of by catch when fishing in this targeted way and these are mostly gurnard, grey mullet and squid so these will be available this week. Apparently it tastes just like custard and apple! Also, they’ve got tons of avocados in, so will be selling them for the special price of £1 each. Baking spuds, special price £1.30kg. Tons of kale in, and hopefully some red/purple brussel sprouts. As well as all the usuals.

We’ll be bringing along our luxury Christmas puddings, made with figs, cranberries and pedro ximénez sherry; a choice of luxury Christmas cakes, topped with either marzipan and royal icing or a 70% dark chocolate slab with glazed nuts and fruit; and plenty of our moreish stollen swirls. We’ll also have the return of our chestnut cheesecake, topped with cranberry maple syrup; an indulgent chocolate and clementine cake; some peanut butter bars with thick milk chocolate ganache; a basket chock-a-block with our fine dark chocolate brownies; and the return of everyone’s favourite B&B cookie – mint choc chip. Local drop in centre: New Tuesday drop in with new group We Love Services. They are looking to raise £500 within 30 days to feed families in our local community – those who are facing poverty, who are feeling isolated and in need of a helping hand.

There are NO train or Overground services from Crystal Palace station this Sunday (November 30th).
SOUTHERN: Engineering work is taking place between Streatham Hill and Norwood Junction with all lines closed.
Buses replace trains between Balham and West Croydon via Crystal Palace.
The London Victoria to Caterham services will run between Purley and Caterham.
Amended services between South Bermondsey and Tattenham Corner / East Croydon are diverted between Tulse Hill and East Croydon via Selhurst.

The anniversary of the Crystal Palace fire is being celebrated this Sunday ( 30th November) from 6.30 pm to 8 pm at The Paradou café on Crystal Palace Parade (corner of Farquhar Road).
