Guest lunch – Simply Tay Tayyaba is cooking up “Ginger chicken, spicy fish curry & vegetarian aubergine potato curry – all served with pilau rice and daahl. Veggie samosas will also be available.”
Cheese & cured meats – Capo Caccia Anotonio says “Hola, I’ll have gluten & lactose free coppa, 30 days matured goat cheese with soft firm texture smoked ricotta vegetarian goat cheese, organic pecorino and red wine salami.”
World food/vegan – Return to Shashamane Emilia is making “Chickpea salad with wakame seaweed; kidney beans with cardamom seeds & fresh tarragon; butter beans with dill parsley; lentil stew; Mexican street salad with cabbage & chillies; kale salad with a fresh turmeric dressing & sunflower seeds; fresh coriander sauce with chillies & garlic; hummus; spicy sauce with cayenne pepper; quinoa salad with linseed, basil & pomegranate.”

Gluten free/dairy free/yeast free – Elvira’s Secret Pantry Elvira tells me “I’m makingcakes – chocolate & pear cake, lemon polenta, Victoria sponge, carrot & pistachio, NEW apple roses, blueberry tart, strawberry tartlets. Savouries – asparagus flan, tomato & olive tartlets, spinach & leek tart, aubergine & courgette quiche, mini frittata muffins. Also, it’s my next Penge CanTeen supper club on June 13th.”
Chocolates, cakes & raw vegan truffles – Blowing Dandelion Michaela says “I will have avocado, rhubarb, lemon & lime, raspberry, chocolate, mango cheesecakes – they are all raw and vegan. Then I am making raw vegan balls (truffles as usual), raw vegan brownies as usual.”

Hiver Beers: beer made with honey
Beer – Hiver Beers Simon says “We’ll be there with our delicious beers and honeys for you to sample and take away, and don’t forget that you can pick up vouchers to our beehive visits which are in full swing and proving very popular. Can’t wait to see you all!”

Bread (& naughty brownies) – Chas & Momo Sara says “Hello my friends! How are you today? So this week we’ll plenty of English Muffins and our soft and delicious potato rolls! Nothing can beat those in a sandwich! And surprise: Hobnobs are back!! Oh! And we’re going to have our caramelised onion foccacias too!! Plus, Momo just told me that we are making bread and butter pudding to give as a cheer up gift to our customers. Everybody has been really sad after the referendum and we know that bread and butter pudding makes everything better!” Bless her.

Veasey’s: Super fresh fish
Fish – Veasey’s Dan says “South coast mackerel is in! We will have perfect line caught mackerel from Eastbourne along with some lovely flat fish such as lemon sole and plaice. Shellfish wise we will have some lovely clams from Poole, large Colchester oysters and our favourites the Cornish rock oyster. Sea trout & wild salmon is well in it’s season so please let us know if you would like some and we will bring it up for you. The Foodbank – is still running low. All donations welcomed. Also, they are looking for volunteers. The latest drop off was an astonishing 66.7kg! You are all amazing. Total so far 969.8 kilos.

Guided history tours around the Crystal Palace Triangle – (2 July & 6 August)Micha says “We’re passionate about sharing local history and making it more accessible to everyone and so we’ve created a guided tour, where you can discover the history of 10 different sites. See this area in a different light, as we show you images of how sites would have looked, really helping to bring history to life. We will be touring in Crystal Palace on Saturday 2nd July & 6th August. Tickets cost £5 and the tour lasts approx. 2 hours.”
Library of Things – Bex says “Library of Things is a space where you come to borrow useful items like power tools, gardening things, kitchenware etc – and it needs your help. We’re opening for the first time this Sunday, and have lots to do before then. Come down to our site on Vale Street in West Norwood on Saturday 2 July between10am-5pm to help us build shelves, varnish cupboards, clean up our shipping containers etc. Cake provided RSVP to me (Bex) by text if you can make it – 07584084313”

Stories from the Great North Wood – for adults with learning difficulties Sarah Glover says “These are free sessions for adults with learning disabilities including people with profound learning disabilities. It will be a mix of music and storytelling and will take place in the visitor centre in the park.” A range of dates in July.
