Offering alternative tour guides around the festivals, these avid supporters of the area will let you in on local secrets whilst teaching you how to see the streets afresh. Think you love Crystal Palace? Think again for never before has there been such devotion! Hold on tight, join in or witness their antics from a safe distance… The Extreme Fans are looking for new recruits!

Don’t forget to visit The Magical Sprite Village in Crystal Palace park during the festival – pick up a map and key from our local traders.

Without Walls – A Poetry Trail
Your poems around the Triangle’s shops and environs. All are invited to take a copy and see your local talent.
10am, 2pm and 4pm: Toddle in the City
Starting at Papagaio 83 Church Road
Toddlers, take your favourite adult to go on a treasure hunt on the Triangle! We will provide a camera for children to take photos of all the treasures they can find hidden in the streets, parks and buildings. Suitable for children aged 3-6, and older siblings up to 9. See event page for details.

Outside Sainsbury’s
Visit the Prayer Tent to receive prayer for any need you may have. The team will pray for you, your family or friends. There will also be an opportunity to leave a request on the prayer card, and these will be prayed for during the day. This is also a space for quiet meditation and reflection.

A packed day of live genre spanning music via Antenna Studios, Crystal Palace and beyond, with Mangoseed, Scarlett’s Roses, Franck & Friends, Hipster Ray, Rory McElroy, Lost in Space, Bumble & The Flower, Duke Bradley and the Crystal Palace Community Choir. Utsarjam in Sanskrit means “letting loose and being setting free”. This upbeat, playful and energetic work will develop into an outdoor piece with a festival-like atmosphere; highlighting the rhythmic play between the ancient and the modern combining original Bharatanatyam material and a newly written musical score www.srishti.co.uk

Papagaio
Calling all smaller festival-goers! Come along to Papagaio toy shop and make an animal mask, get involved in traditional party games and take your chances in our lucky dip, with music and lots of balloons!
1pm – 2pm: Sound Bath with Antenna Studios
Bathe your stress away – a meditation experience that uses ancient instruments, release stress, feel more energised, happier and uplifted. The event is free but please pre-book by email to [email protected] before 25 June. Bring a yoga mat or blanket, lie down, let the sound wash your soul.

The Secret Garden, off Westow Street, behind Siansbury’s
Join sisters Catherine and Fliss, and Ben Travers and Mike Wolfendale on guitar, for a lunchtime music medley, from traditional folk songs to The Smiths.

Join a specially prepared panel of local experts – Jack from the Spa Hill Allotments; Roger from The Secret Garden; Luke, a landscape gardener, and Sarah a garden designer – to answer all your gardening questions.

Ruffle that petticoat, polish those brogues and bring on the bunting as Vintage Up the Palace is coming! Amid the pretty ornamental gardens at the Triangle entrance to the park melodies from a 40s gramophone will tinkle; luscious cakes in the tearoom and the fine teas & coffees of King’s Jive served from a 60s Morris Minor Traveller will delight; and classic hotdogs from the sleek & shiny Shakey’s Diner will be relished.

Live music will serenade you through the day including Crystal Palace Community Choir, soulful jazz performer Harriet Eaves and the smooth sound of 20s-loving songstress Millie, and you can show off your dance steps or maybe learn some new ones under the expert tutelage of the fabtastic Swing Patrol: beginners welcome!
South London favourites Late Knights Brewery are in charge of the beer and a selection of top notch stalls will tempt and inspire with a glorious array of homewares, furniture and clothing.
With a Children’s Vintage Parade (prizes for all!) and a Knobbly Knees competition, compered by Aunties Parties, and a Triangle Treasure Hunt to boot – it’ll be a right old Crystal Palace day out!

Jo and Chris will perform duets in advance of their charitable tour to Tanzania with Children in Crossfire
2pm Waka Hasegawa – toy Piano
Award-winning concert pianist, Waka will perform on a tiny toy piano, but we can expect something big. The programme includes Bach, Cage and beyond with electronics
2:45pm Dandlemänn
Twisted folk tales from the darkest forests of a European country that you’ve never heard of! The Peryls’ bassist John-Wesley Nicholson battles his way back from side-project Hell, bringing with him Dandlemänn – stories of stick men, living shadows and the monsters we all make of ourselves
3:30pm Kate Proudlove – soprano
Kate is a member of indie band The Peryls, but will be returning to her classical roots, singing little works by female composers accompanied by Charlotte Way on the piano
4:15pm Brother G and the Trouble – In the Dot Dot Dot
Sound Tracks II is closed by Brother G and The Trouble, on a performance based on the themes emerged from life and journeys of the past year. Enjoy composed and improvising music, spoken word and the visual arts, working in partnership with guest musicians and performers
3pm – 6pm: Bingo

4pm – 10pm: Beer Garden BBQ & DJ + Dakota Jim and His Band
Gipsy Hill Tavern – FREE ENTRY
Wind down to the whisky soaked sounds of gipsy jazz, cajun and blues from the highly acclaimed Dakota Jim (think Seasick Steve on accordion) and his band.
4:15pm – 5:45pm: Norwood Society walk

Alun Thomas of the Norwood Society will lead a walk exploring the history of the northern side of the Triangle and the Gipsy Hill area.

Ukulele playing Singer/ songwriter Phillipa Leigh will be performing quirky covers to help you wind down from the festival with a big smile on your face. Joan Armatrading spotted her busking and took her on tour!
