THE POSSIBILITY of Crystal Palace having its own currency – and how it can be achieved – is to be discussed at Crystal Palace Chamber of Commerce’s meeting on Wednesday (December 4th)
“We are going to be discussing the possibility of Crystal Palace having its own currency – the Palace Crystal – along the lines of similar schemes in Brixton and Bath (the Brixton Pound and the Bath Pound” said chairman Paul Bartholomew.
Guiding the chamber through the world of alternative currencies will be Leander Bindewald , Researcher and Project Manager, Complementary Currencies, at NEF, the New Economic Forum.

Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be available at the meeting at the Phoenix centre, Westow Street SE19 (to the left of Sainsbury’s) which starts at 6.30pm

MR KIRIT PATEL The Chamber have offered their condolences to the family of Mr Kirit Patel of Sefgrove chemist, Westow Hill who passed away peacefully at his home on October 28th.
“He served the Crystal Palace community for over 37years” said Paul Bartholomew. “His customers and patients will remember him for his great sense of humour and his professional manner.”
Kirit and his wife Daksha opened Sefgrove chemist in May 1976. He had two children and four grandchildren. .
