EGG-STRA FUN FOR KIDS AT FOOD MARKET TOMORROW
Kids – Easter cupcake decorating with Kate from Eat & Mess. Make Easter nests with mini eggs or yellow chicks. £2.50 each.
Eat & Mess Kate says “We have been busy baking up a storm today [Friday] in the E&M kitchen and thus far have managed to resist the mini eggs that are waiting to adorn our scrumptious Easter chocolate, salted caramel and mini egg cake!
Elsewhere in the kitchen we are whipping up a coffee and fresh cardamom cake with toasted walnuts and coffee swirled buttercream, Winter spiced carrot cake with toasted pumpkin seeds, walnuts and sultanas and topped with cream cheese frosting and edible flowers, jazzy gangs of spiced gingerbread men in their best market attire (that’ll be scarves and gloves then… brrr!), fresh raspberry and crushed pistachio friands, cherry compote bakewell tarts with almond cream and fresh cherry bite, Easter egg millionaire shortbreads with caramel on a rich butter shortbread base, rose scented strawberry cheesecake with toasted coconut base and fresh strawberry drizzle, ‘hot cross’ sticky buns with cinnamon glaze… and the brownie bar is out in full Springtime glory! Choose from cheesecake, sweet and salty rye or milk chocolate butterscotch. See you on the stall folks!”
