HISTORY PROJECT AND DRAMA GROUP AMONG SUCCESSFUL LIBRARY TRUST BIDDERS
A history project and a drama class for adults suffering from depression and other mental health conditions are among groups which have successfully bid to run sessions in Upper Norwood library.
The groups’ activities in the Westow Hill library are being funded by Upper Norwood library trust who have announced the successful bidders from their community investment fund as:
Artlexia
Weekly one-hour art workshops for children with dyslexia and dyspraxia to be delivered over 8 weeks from Monday 11th January 4-5pm.

‘Act Yourself Confident’
Weekly two-hour drama class for adults suffering from depression and other mental health conditions to be delivered over 10 weeks from Tuesday 12 January 10.30 -12.30.

Money Management Project
Two half-day pilot workshops on Thursday 3rd March 2016 (2-4.30pm & 6.30-9pm) to provide support for individuals on managing their money with a view to running a series of sessions to recruit local people to become money champions . To book contact: [email protected]
Local and Family History Project
Series of fortnightly two-hour sessions run by the Norwood Society to train people how to research the history of their area or family.
Affordable Spanish
Project to run a series of weekly small group, two-hour Spanish language classes at reduced price for local residents starting on Saturday 9th January between 11am-1pm
