POLICE LAUNCH MURDER HUNT AFTER 21-YEAR-OLD FOUND STABBED IN RECREATION GROUND
Police have launched a murder hunt after a man died from a stab wound.
They were called at 19:47hrs on Saturday (23 January) to reports of an unresponsive man at South Norwood recreation ground close to Tennison Road.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene. A 21-year-old man was found suffering a stab wound. He was pronounced dead at 20:45hrs. Next of kin have informed.
He has been formally identified as David Darko (13.01.95) from South Norwood.
A post-mortem examination held on Sunday (24 January) gave cause of death as a stab wound.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are continuing to appeal for information and witnesses
