Back by popular demand South Norwood resident historian John Hickman leads a
walk around Beckenham Cemetery highlighting the history of the Cemetery as
well as some of the famous local resting places. A fascinating insight into some of
the local history of South Norwood.

Opening Night Star Act Comedy Night @ Stanley Halls 7.30pm
An evening of comedy with OLA the Comedian and KEVIN DAY!
Ola gives us a preview of his Edinburgh Fringe show ‘The Comedian and His
Future Wife’ which has been playing to rave reviews around London!
Then, TV comedian and Eagles supporter KEVIN DAY once again brings his
unique brand of humour to SNAF. Known for his long career in stand-up, and being
a proud South Londoner, with a regular slot on “Match of the Day2”. Don’t miss

Portland Road Traders Day, ALL DAY along Portland Road
Portland Road will be alive with balloons and surprise events. Look out for cake
decoration demonstrations at Pink Icing and Salsa at BlueJay. Treasures will be
holding a sale, Fusion Leisure will have some special offers and competitions and
there will be plenty of other surprises along the way.
Atmospheric Railway Blue Plaque Unveiling 11am

Join, Tom Brown, author of ‘Strange Air’, and PPR as they unveil the latest Blue Plaque
celebrating the amazing method of train propulsion that was used to run trains through
South Norwood in the past. Come celebrate South Norwood’s History!

Pick up your sheets of clues from Treasures, or Stanley Halls on the day. Work out
your answers and hand it back in at the end.

Secret Garden Open Day 12-4pm Norwood Junction Station
(Woodside Entrance – SNAF programme to enter the station)
Wildlife garden opening!
Discover the secret garden in the heart Norwood Junction station, rejuvenated by
green fingered local Transport Police, and community volunteers. You will be
amazed by the new section of wildlife garden that includes a pond! At 3pm this area
will have it’s official opening by Chief Superintendent Brogden, BTP.
There will be live music, a stall and refreshments available. There will be the
opportunity to meet your local Transport Police Team. Children will be able to tour
the station with Transport staff and gain some valuable info about station safety.

Service On The Green 11am-12noon Woodside Green
Join the congregation of Woodside Baptist Church for an outdoor service of
celebration with live music on the Green.
Grand Finale Fair 12pm-5pm Woodside Green
Woodside Green comes alive with activities and fun throughout the afternoon with an
abundance of stalls providing everything from arts & crafts to jewellery and beauty to
community groups and face painting.
There will be free and low-cost activities for all ages, including bungee run, bouncy
castle, and penalty shoot out. Football fun will be provided by Crystal Palace FC and
even the Woodside Fire Station will be on hand along with – of course – their fire engine.
The ‘London Urban Arts Academy DJ workshop bus’ will be there with lots of other activities.
Lots of local entertainment throughout the day from the PPR SNAF STAGE, managed this
year by our fabulous supporters EdgeFM
SNAF raffle draw takes place at 4.30pm from the PPR stage (first prize £200.00!)
