THE PARLIAMENTARY by-election for Croydon North will take place on Thursday, 29 November, following the death of the Rt Hon Malcolm Wicks MP who died aged 65 on September 29 following a battle against cancer.
Those not registered to vote have until Wednesday 14 November to do so.
There is a deadline of 5pm on the same day for people wishing to vote by post.
Postal voters should not wait until they have received their polling card, as that would be too late. They should apply NOW at aboutmyvote.co.ukor by calling the elections team on 020 8760 5591.
Applications for proxy votes need to be received by 5pm on Wednesday 21 November.
Those who have already made absent voting arrangements and wish to change them must do so by 5pm on 14 November.
Croydon Council’s chief executive and acting returning officer Jon Rouse said: “This is a very tight timetable and as the deadline for registering to vote is close, I urge people to make sure they are registered as soon as possible.”
