FRESH PLANS for the redevelopment of the Victory Place / Carberry Works area have been submitted to Croydon council.
The plans - the latest in a myriad of applications for the site – propose the demolition of “some of the existing buildings on site” (unspecified) and redevelopment and re-use to provide a mixed use scheme comprising retail within class A1 (at ground floor level), flexible retail/office/studio space within classes A1 and B1 (at ground floor level) including an element of D1 (community) use, restaurant/bar within classes A3/A4 (at ground level);
a part-hotel/hotel within class C1 (at ground, 1st, 2nd & 3rd floor levels), office within class B1 (at 1st & 2nd floor level), together with residential accommodation (class C3) comprising a mix of one studio, 14 one-bedroom, nine two-bedroom and five three-bedroom flats (at first, second and third floor levels) and associated amenity space;
